Our Vision, Purpose and Mission

Our Foundations

The foundation that inspires and motivates our actions.

01

Vision

The vision that inspires and motivates our actions is of a harmonious world, where wisdom and compassion replace the causes and conditions of suffering, and all beings live in peace and harmony, free from hunger, disease, war, indignity, and the impacts of environmental imbalance.

02

Purpose

Our purpose is to build, support, and nurture an active community in Brazil that participates in a worldwide network of socially engaged spiritual practitioners dedicated to transforming the causes of personal and social suffering into wisdom, compassion, and clarity.

03

Mission

Our mission is to promote, support, and participate in activities that address the structural and circumstantial causes of individual and collective suffering and foster peace, wisdom, compassion, dignity, and harmony with the Earth and all beings.

Pillars

The fundamental practices that sustain our care for the sacred Earth and its countless beings are the Three Tenets and the ethical guidelines of the Zen Peacemakers, the Mandala of the Five Wisdoms, spiritual friendship, interfaith dialogue, the Order of Disorder, and contemplative social action.

Memory

Echoes of a Journey

“The retreat is not only about facing suffering. It is also about finding within it the strength of life, culture, resistance, and the beauty that blossoms even under the most adverse conditions.”
